DAY 2- THURSDAY 22.11.2007

(ENGL) Even though we wanted to get up early in the morning, we simply couldn't as we were partying the night before ;) Thursday, also Thanksgiving day, was our sightseeing day. The streets in Washington D.C. were dead! The only one's that were on the street were us girls and the homeless people. However, as soon as we got to the sightseeing area, there were also other tourists. We visited the Washington Monument, the National World War II Memorial, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Lincoln Memorial and the White House of course. We were very lucky with the weather! It was supposed to rain this day, but a very strong wind started blowing, just as we came to the White House- was that a sign ;) Later we went back to the hostel where we had our Thanksgiving turkey, which was organized by the hostel. It was a lot of fun. Afterwards we went partying again ;)

(HR) Iako smo se htjele rano ustati taj dan, nismo bas uspjele, posto smo tulumarile noc prije. Cetvrtak, Dan Zahvalnosti, je bio nas dan razgledavanja Washington-a. Ulice su bile prazne! Nikoga nigdje, osim nas cura i bezkucnih ljudi. No, cim smo dosle blizu znamenitosti, bilo je vec puno vise ljudi, ili bolje receno, vise turista ;) Vidjele smo Washington Monument, National World War II Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial, Veitnam Veterans Memorial, Lincoln Memorial i naravno Bijelu kucu.
