WHAT IS IT CALLED AGAIN?

(ENGL) ... I think you call it a hangover ;) yeah, having a huge hangover, after I went to bed at already 1 a.m. , even though everyone else was still partying on Friday, I decided to eat something, what was barely anything and then go shopping with the girls. It wasn't really funny, I have to admit, but at least the headache and the nausea stopped in the evening ;) I bought a pair of shoes, jeans, a shirt and a bag. *kiss*

(D) ... ich glaube das nennt man Kater ;) Tja, wer trinken kann am Vortag, muss auch shoppen können am Tag danach ... oder so irgendwie ... Nachdem ich mit einem riesen Kater aufgewacht bin, obwohl ich schon um 1 Uhr am Freitag ins Bett bin, während alle anderen noch fett am Party machen waren, entschied ich mich zuerst mal essen zu gehen, obwohl ich eh kaum was runtergebracht habe und dann mit den Mädels shoppen zu gehen. Na ja, richtig lustig war das echt nicht, aber wenigstens hat das Kopfweh und die Übelkeit am Abend aufgehört ;) Hab mir ein Pärchen Schuhe, eine Jeans, ein T-Shirt und eine Handtasche gekauft. *Knutscha*

(HR) ... mislim da je to biti mamuran ;) Eto, tako je to! Pij guzo, plati guzo! Iako sam u petak već u jedan u jutro otišla kući, a drugi tulumarili dalje, u subotu u jutro sam se probudila sa glavom ... uf, većom nego ja ;) Odlučila sam otići nešto pojesti, iako nije bilo baš puno, skoro ništa, pa sam otišla u shopping s curama. Nije baš bilo smješno ... No, hvala Bogu su glavobolja i mučina na večer prestale! Kupila sam si jedne cipele hlače, majcu i ... torbu! *pusek*

(ENGL) Even though alcohol is forbidden on the campus and especially in the rooms- we made a party in one room- so- PSSSTTT> that's our BIG secret ;)

(D) Obwohl Alk am Campus verboten ist, vor allem in den Zimmern, haben wir ne Party geschmissen. Das ist jetzt unser GROSSES Geheimnis ;)

(HR) Napravili smo tulum iako postoji velika zabrana alkohola na kampusu i pogotovu u sobama! To je sad naša VELIKA tajna ;)

24.09- 27.09

(ENGL) Again ... nothing really interesting happens during the week as I really have to do a lot for my classes! It's just crazy! Honestly, I like it here, but I can't wait to go back to good "old" Graz. Things are definitely different there! As I'm scared to gain weight, I work out 3 times a week- good girl, what? ;) Well, and that's somehow the only interesting thing I do during the week. The girls from the sorority we live in (PHI SIGMA SIGMA) draw that for us international girls ...

(D) Unter der Woche passiert echt nichts interessantes in meinem Leben, da ich mich voll und ganz auf die Kurse konzentrieren MUSS. Es ist echt zum Verrückt werden! Ich bin froh wenn ich wieder in Graz bin, obwohl es mir hier gefällt, aber ein ganzes Studium lang könnte ich das nicht aushalten. Ach ja, da ich Angst habe sehr viel zuzunehmen gehe ich drei Mal in der Woche ins Fitnessstudio- braves Mädi, ge? ;) Das ist auch das einzig interessante was ich unter der Woche mache *rofl* Die Mädels vom Verbindungshaus in dem wir wohnen (PHI SIGMA SIGMA) haben das für uns, internationale Mädels, gemacht ...

(HR) Pod tjednom neradim baš nešto interesantno pošto se MORAM koncentrirati na kurseve, tj. raditi zadaće, čitati kao manijak, pripremiti prezentacije itd. Stvarno, već više nije normalno. Lijepo je sve to tu, ali mislim da nebih mogla preživjeti tu cijeli svoj studij! Biti ću sretna kada se vratim u Grac! Definitivno! Jedino interesantno što radim pod tjednom je da idem u teretanu 3 puta tjedno- bojim se da ću se opet udebljati kao prvi put kada sam bila u svijetu od Amera ;) I još nešto, cure iz ženskog studentskog udruženja (ili kako se već kaže ...) gdje mi živimo (PHI SIGMA SIGMA) su za nas ovo nacrtale ...

Blue Jays @ Yankees

(ENGL) Once again we got the opportunity to go somewhere for FREE! Yay! This time it was a home game of the NEW YORK YANKEES! Did I tell you that I'm the wife of Derek Jeter ;) *just kidding* It was my first time at a baseball game and I have to admit that it was a bit boring ... Sorry, but sitting for four hours in the sun, in an area that was meant for families (that means NO alcohol) and having kids jumping around you, whilst you barely see the players because they are so tiny and barely move ... well, not really my favorite spending a Sunday afternoon. But we internationals had a great time! We had some good laughs and the atmosphere in the stadion was just great! Especially when they were singing the hymn. Very nice! I liked it a lot! Oh yeah, the Yankees won of course- 5:8

(D) Wieder einmal hatten wir die Chance etwas zu unternehmen und das GRATIS! *freu* Diesmal war es ein Ausflug zu einem Heimspiel der NEW YORK YANKEES!! Hab ich schon erwähnt, dass ich mit Derek Jeter, einem der Spieler, verheiratet bin ;) (kleiner Spaß Schatzi *kiss*) Ich war das erste Mal bei einem Baseballspiel und ich muss zugeben, dass es doch etwas langweilig war. Vier Stunden in der prallen Sonne sitzen, in einem Bereich der für Familien gedacht ist, d.h. kein Alkohol, in dem Kinder um einen herumspringen, während man die Spieler kaum sieht, weil sie so klein sind und sich kaum bewegen ... das steht nicht wirklich auf meiner Wunschliste wie ich einen Sonntag Nachmittag verbringen möchte. Aber wir "internationals" hatten ne tolle Zeit. Viel Lachen und einige Sonnenbrände (war Gott sei Dank keine von denen). Die Atmosphäre im Stadium ist unberechenbar, vor allem als sie die Hymne gesungen haben- wunderbar! Mir hat es sehr gut gefallen! Fast vergessen, die Yankees haben natürlich gewonnen- 5:8

(HR) I opet smo imali mogućnost nešto vidjeti- BESPLATNO, kao i često. Ovaj put smo išli gledati baseball igru u New York Yankee stadijonu. Igrali su NEW YORK YANKEES protiv Blue Jays-a. E da, jesam li vam već rekla, da mi je Derek Jeter (jedan od igrača) muž? Šala mala! ;) To mi je bio prvi put da sam bila na baseball igri i moram priznati da nije baš nešto interesantno ili napeto ... Sjediti četiri sata na suncu u sektoru koji je za obitelji, to znači nema alkohola, i gdje djeca non stop skaču oko mene, a ja jedva vidim igrače pošto su tako maleni i zato što se jedva kreču ... ne hvala, ali to mi baš nije neka animacija za Nedjelju popodne. Ali mi internacionalni studenti smo si napravili da nam bude super! Zezali i smijali smo se i uz to su neki još i malo izgorili (ja nisam jedna od tih- hvala Bogu!). Ali atmosfera u stadijonu je bila fenomenalna!! Pogotovo kada su pjevali himnu! Nešto nevjerojatno! Meni se je jako, jako svidjelo! E da, Yankees su pobjedili- NARAVNO- 5:8

NEW YORK CITY- SHOPPING CITY

(ENGL) Vladi and Maja left the campus already on Friday afternoon and went to NYC to meet up with some friends and go out partying. The rest of us didn't feel like it and decided to go on Saturday and make a sightseeing day. In the end "the rest" was Ana and me. Chrissy decided to stay at home and enjoy her free time, whilst Susana went to pick up her boyfriend from the airport. The NJ Transit had an offer from the 17th September to 23rd September> all students were able to take the train and bus in New Jersey FOR FREE!!! Ana and I were supposed to meet up with Vladi and Maja at 12.00 at the Apple store in the 5th avenue but we must have missed each other, as they were late and after it had started to rain and Ana and I have been waiting for half an hour, the two of us left and went shopping instead of sightseeing. We even got an offer to work in a store (Abercrombie & Fitch) on the 5th avenue, where just models work!!!! Finally someone saw my real potential ;) Unfortunately we can't work there as we don't live in NYC ... damn ... :) Anyway, it was a great day! We spend a lot of money and had some good laughs!

(D) Vladi und Matschgl sind schon am Freitag nach NYC gefahren, um sich dort mit ein paar Freunden zu treffen und Party zu machen. Wir, die anderen, entschieden uns am Samstag zu fahren. Am Ende waren "die anderen" Ana und ich, da Chrissy sich entschloss daheim zu bleiben und ihren freien Tag zu genießen und Susana zum Flughafen fuhr um ihren Freund abzuholen. Die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel in New Jersey hatten vom 17 bis zum 23 September ein Angebot für Studenten> GRATIS FAHREN!!! Das musste natürlich ausgenutzt werden! Ana und ich haben mit Vladi und Maja ausgemacht uns um 12.00 beim Apple store in der 5. Avenue zu treffen, doch da die Zwei zu spät waren und wir über eine halbe Stunde gewartet hatten, es dann am Ende auch noch anfing zu regnen, entschieden wir uns, ohne sie unsere Tour fortzuführen und machten aus dem zuerst geplanten Seightseeing Tag einen Shopping Tag ;) Man bot uns sogar im Abercrombie & Fitch Laden in der 5. Avenue an zu arbeiten. Anmerkung: In diesem Laden arbeiten bittesehr NUR Models ... Ach ja, endlich hat mal jemand mein wahres Talent entdeckt *rofl* Leider konnten wir das Angebot nicht annehmen, da wir nicht in NYC wohnen ... schade ;) Es war auf jeden Fall ein toller Tag mit der Ana! Haben sehr viel Geld ausgegeben und sehr viel gelacht!

(HR) Vlatka i Maja su već u petak otišle za New York City, pošto su se tamo našle sa par prijatelja i otišle van. Ostatak, to su Ana, Susana, Chrissy i ja, je odlučio ostati kod kuće i otići u subotu za New York. Na kraju samo Ana i ja otišle. Chrissy je odlučila ostati kod kuće i odmarati, a Susana je otišla po dečka na aerodrom. Od 17 do 23 rujna su sva javna prometna sredstva New Jersey-a imala akciju za studente, da ih mogu BESPLATNO koristiti! Tako da smo to iskoristile! Dogovorile smo se sa Majom i Vlatkom da se nađemo u 5 aveniji kod "Apple store", ali one su kasnile i onda je još kiša počela padati, tako da smo se odlučile bez njih ići dalje i umjesto razgledavanja ići u kupovini i trošiti pare koje nemamo ;) Čak smo dobili ponudu da radimo u dućanu od Abercrombie & Fitch (prodaje odjeću), koji je na 5 aveniji i gdje samo manekeni i manekenke rade!!! AHA!!! Napokon je netko prepoznao moj talent ;) Nažalost nemožemo tamo raditi pošto neživimo u NYC ... koje sranje ;) U glavnom je dan bio super sa Anom! Potrošile smo puno, previše, novaca u dobro smo se nasmijale!

17.09- 21.09

(ENGL) Nothing special happened during this week. I basically had to do tons of homework, tons of readings and so on and so forth. I didn't really sleep a lot, but I'm still alive ;) We had an international students meeting that is going to take place every week now on Tuesdays at 8.30 p.m. And that's it!

(D) Es ist nicht wirklich etwas interessantes passiert während der Woche. Ich habe hauptsächlich Hausaufgaben gemacht, hunderte Seiten gelesen und weitere so spannende Sachen gemacht ;) Wirklich viel hab ich auch nicht geschlafen, aber ich lebe noch. Am Dienstag hatten wir ein Treffen der internationalen Studenten. Das wird jetzt jeden Dienstag um 20.30 Uhr stattfinden ... Tja, das wars dann auch schon!

(HR) Nije se ništa posebno, interesantno ili super dobro dogodilo ovaj tjedan. Štrebam, radim zadaće, čitam za kurseve i tako dalje. Super dosadno ustvari ... Nisam baš ni nešto puno spavala, ali još sam živa ;) U utorak smo imali sastanak internacionalnih studenata. To će sada biti svaki utorak u 20.30 sati. Da, i to bi bilo to za ovaj tjedan- do petka barem

ATLANTIC CITY

(ENGL) The day after the party ... having a headache and not having slept enough kinda makes it hard to look forward to a day in Atlantic City ... We had to be at the bus at 9 a.m. :( Thank God it took us two hours to get there, so we were able to sleep a bit more and get sober *rofl* As we arrived there I was a bit disappointed, to be honest. Atlantic City is something like Las Vegas, just on the East Coast. However, the area that is off the beach and outside the casinos is totally run down! I didn't really feel comfortable walking around there . Homeless people looking at you as if they want to rob you didn't give you a feeling of comfort. Anyway, after we had our breakfast in a fast food restaurant- where else- we decided to go shopping first and then enjoy our day at the beach. We didn't buy anything special ... somehow we just wanted to go to the beach- and this was a great idea! Atlantic City has a beautiful beach!!! Sandy, salty water (somehow logical as it is the Ocean), sunny and warm. At the beach you can also go shopping at the boardwalk. Beautiful, great and interesting ... and I felt more comfortable than before ;) It was a great day where we basically enjoyed ourselves! We got back home at around 11 p.m.

(D) Der Tag nach der Feier ... Kopfweh und wenig Schlaf machen es einem nicht gerade viel leichter sich auf einen Tag in Atlantic City zu freuen ... Wir mussten schon um 9 beim Bus sein, doch Gott sei Dank hatten wir noch zwei Stunden Fahrt vor uns, die wir nutzen konnten, um noch etwas zu schlafen und uns auszunüchtern ;) Ich muss zugeben ich war etwas enttäuscht als wir dort ankamen. Ich habe mir die Gegend weg vom Strand und ausserhalb vom Casino anders vorgestellt- nicht so niedergekommen. Hab mich nicht gerade wohl gefühlt, als wir dort herumspaziert sind. Nachdem wir in einem Fast Food Restaurant gefrühstückt hatten- wo auch sonst, entschieden wir uns shoppen und dann auf den Strand zu gehen. Da wir alle irgendwie nur zum Strand wollten, waren wir mit unseren Einkäufen schnell fertig. Ich muss sagen, Atlantic City hat einen wunderschönen Strand! Feiner Sand, salziges Wasser (was ja logisch ist, da es der Ozean ist), das warme und sonnige Wetter *herlich*. Man kann auch auf der Strandpromenade einkaufen gehen, was wir auch taten. Einfach nur wunderschön und interessant. Ein toller Tag an dem wir gegen 23 Uhr nach Hause kamen.

(HR) Dan poslije tuluma ... Glavobolja i manjak sna ne pomažu baš da se čovijek raduje danu u Atlantic City-u! Morale smo već u 9 u jutro biti kod busa, ali smo još dva sata vozili do tamo tako da smo imale vremena još malo odspavati i otrijezniti ;) Moram priznati da sam bila razočarana kad smo stigli. Milila sam da će grad biti lijep i tamo gdje nije plaža i izvan kasina. Sve izgleda tako siromašno ... teško za povjerovati. Nisam se baš osjećala sigurnom. Nakon što smo doručkovali u fast food restoranu- gdje drugdje- smo se odlučile otići u shopping i onda na plažu. Nije nam trebalo drugo da obavimo kupovine, pošto smo sve htjele otići na plažu i to je bila super ideja! Plaža je prekrasna!!! Fini pijesak, slana voda (što je i normalno kada je to ocean), toplo i sunčano vrijeme! *prekokrasno* ;) Uz to sve se još može i tamo kupiti razno raznih stvari, pošto su dućani uz plažu. Dan je bio prekrasan i interesantan- nije sve u Americi tako kako se misli. I tu ima loših strana! Oko 23 sati smo stigli kući.
